HARE KRISHNA, DANDAVAT TO ALL DEVOTEES,

PLS ACCEPT MY HUMBLE OBEISSANCES !

I HAVE A DOUBT  " IS LORD KRISHNA IS AN AVATAR OF LORD VISHNU OR LORD VISHNU AN EXPANSION OF LORD KRISHNA.

BRAHMA IS THE CREATOR OF ALL JIVAS. IT THIS COULD BE THAT LORD BRAHMA HAS ACCEPTED LORD KRISHNA AS THE SUPREME PERSOANLITY OG GODHEAD IN BRAHMA SAMHITA

"GOVINDAM AADHI PURUSHAM, TAM AHAM BHAJAMI ".

SOME OF MY FRIENDS HAVE ASKED THIS QUESTION AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO REPLY TO THEM PROPERLY

PLS FORGIVE FOR MY OFFENCES

  • in devi bhagwat is clearly says by the lord krishna i am born with my all legacy in dwapar yuga as a krishna

  •   Lord Krishna is Purna Purushottam Bhagavan and is the origin of all Vishnu incarnations. He appeared as the 8th incarnation with all his energies and potencies in the material world. Lord Bramha describes about Lord Krishna to be Ishwara parama Krishna sachidananda vigraha

    Anadiradi Govind Sarvakarnakaranam.

This starting verse of Bramha Samhita itself proves that 4-handed Vishnu form came from 2-handed Shyamsunder Krishna form. Lord Krishna first expanded himself into Vasudev, from Vasudev came his immediate expansion Baldev or Shnakarshan and from Shankarshan came Pradyumna and Anirrudha to form the quadruple Narayan or Vishnu expansion holding the Lotus flower, Sudarshan wheel, Conch and Mace in his four hands.

Lord Krishna at the time of his birth revealed to Devaki and Vasudev his 4 handed Vishnu form and told himself to be transferred in his 2 handed baby form to Gokul. Lord Krishna first revealed Arjuna his Universal cosmic form and then his 4 handed Vishnu form from which he finally showed his 2 handed form of Krishna which is liked devotees.

    • i have one question if Aatma is always away from sorrows and happiness or anything because it is a part of parmatma and body is not immortal then who is responsible for their good or bad karma or who suffers from bad karma if body is not there.

      • When a Jivatma or person is embodied within a body he is subjected to the fourfold miseries of birth, death, oldage and disease since he is conditioned under the influence of Maya which gives sorrows and happiness based on a person's Karma and desires. Therefore Lord Krishna tells us to surrender the fruits of our action to him so that we will not be bound by the reaction of our action. Therefore our body and the Karma we do that is good or bad which makes us suffer in the material world. Aatma does not get affected by the changes in the body since it is part and parcel of Parmatma who monitors all our activities neutrally in many births. Aatma is the eternal living force which pervades as consciousness within the material body and the temporary destructible body suffers sorrows and happiness due to our past Karma which may be good or bad. Hence Lord Krishna tells us to do activities in Krishna consciousness or Naishkarmya and makes Jivatma eligible for liberation or escape repeated birth and death.

    Hare Krishna. PAMHO. AGTSP.

Krishna in Vrindavan is like God at home, while Krishna, as Vishnu in various Vaikuntha planets, is like God at office. A person at home is most comfortable and relaxed and has intimate loving dealings with his family members, while at office he has very formal dealings with his associates. Similarly in Vrindavan, all the Vrajavasis have very intimate dealings with Krishna in sakhya (friendship), vatsalya (parental) or madhurya (conjugal) rasas. No one there is aware of Krishna’s supreme position as God that usually results in very formal and reverential dealings. In the Vaikuntha planets, however, all the residents are always aware of Vishnu’s supreme position as the controller and maintainer of the whole creation. Therefore, all their dealings with Him—including those of sakhya, vatsalya and madhurya are tinged with the feelings of awe and reverence.
So, from an impartial study we can see that Krishna’s pastimes are more sweet and enchanting than those of Vishnu. In that sense, Krishna is superior to Vishnu.
Krishna also has four additional unique qualities not found in Vishnu. Srila Prabhupada explains them in The Nectar of Devotion:
1.Lila-madhuri—He is the performer of wonderful varieties of pastimes (especially His childhood pastimes).
2.Bhakta-madhuri—He is surrounded by devotees endowed with wonderful love of Godhead.
3.Venu-madhuri—He can attract all living entities all over the universes by playing on His flute.
4.Rupa-madhuri—He has a wonderful excellence of beauty which cannot be rivaled anywhere in the creation.

    govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi

The light of one candle being communicated to other candles, although it burns separately in them, is the same in its quality. I adore the primeval Lord Govinda who exhibits Himself equally in the same mobile manner in His various manifestations.

    īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
    sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ
    anādir ādir govindaḥ

Kṛṣṇa who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes.

Hope this answers your question. Hari Bol!

Prabhu, I beg to differ with you when you say Krishna is superior to Vishnu. Prabhupada used the Names of Krishna and Vishnu synonymously on many occasions. They are none different.

It is possible that Krishna expands into Vishnu and Vishnu expands back into Krishna.

Ramanujacharya cannot be wrong when He said that Krishna is an incarnation of His beloved Lord Vishnu.

We cannot understand Supreme Lord who is Transcendental, with the material mind that we have.

      • I also may add, that to us humans - any form of divinity is so supreme that we would never be able to fully understand relativity between their difference. If you look at planet earth from space you may see nothing but a beautiful blue planet. If you look closer, you may see a great variety of beauty that is not seen from outer space. Similarly, when we try to examine relativity between supreme divine "beings", often, only our conditioned and materialistic imagination provides a distinction between them - but in reality we are not even in space looking our planet - we are on the planet looking at stars - and all of the stars are divine to us. Hari Bol!
