Law of karma, Destiny and Free will

Hare Krsna,

Please accept my humble obeisance,

All Glories to Srila Prabhupad,

According to our previous karma, we are destined to face certain situations in this life. And also we are either in mode of goodness, passion or ignorance. Depending upon mode one reacts with situations...... and also if one is in mode of goodness he can fight the situation stronger and therefore will affected less than one in mode of ignorance......Does that mean only situations are destined but not results?

  • Results are dependent on Papa and Punya. If your actions are against the Satvik Sastras they are papa and if it is in conformance it is punya. If you  do a lot of daana dharma; philanthropic activities; good results will prevail. If one is in the mode of goodness it does not really mean he can face the situation stronger ; it just means that he gets affected less; irrespective of the results. A detailed study of Bhagavad Gita AS IT IS by Srila Prabhupada is recommended for you
