Overcome guilt feeling

I have been working in the IT/Software industry for the past 7-8 years.

In the last 2 companies that I have switched, I have observed that people have got some real good opportunities there (specifically a lot of people in my previous companies have got very good onsite opportunities to US and some of them junior to me as well)

As of now, I do not see any such opportunity in my current organization. I have been feeling guilty that I should have not left my previous organizations (even though these opportunities did not seem visible during my time of leaving and there were some other reasons as well for my resigning). Had I stayed there, I might also have got those opportunities.

I have been trying to overcome this guilt feeling and want to just forget about it, but it keeps coming back and I do not really know how to handle it.

Please help.

  • I won't try to preach goodie goodie things to you. Since you are a techie, I thought that words of Steve Jobs would have more effect on you than Srila Prabhupada or Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

    "Life is about connecting the dots. You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life."

    - Steve Jobs (in his speech at The Stanford University)

    Just listen to his complete speech on you tube and you would never feel guilty about your past actions.

    Cheer up!

    No matter what happens in life, happens only for good.

    No need to waste time and energy for lamentation Prabhu.

    You will get what is required by Your karma in due course of time. And if Krishna does not want it then He won't allow that karma do be fulfilled. He wants You to be happy eternally not for one life time.

    But of course we have to perform our duties, earn money for our needs, for others' needs as like money for charity...and be satisfied with what we have already;

    I have chance to go to US or to some other countries. But i prefer and pray to be in India. So You are very fortunate that You took birth in India.
