Everyone has a right to opinion and so does Dr. Ambedkar, our revered freedom fighter.
However, we only ask what is the basis of his teachings? What is the basis or proof of his claim? Any evidence or authority he can quote from?
The answer I gave you is not my own concoction. It is what I have heard from my teachers, who heard it from their teachers, who heard from their teachers. This is called an authentic disciplic succession. There are a few other such authorized teachers-disciple lineages who study the Vedas- which is the word of God himself. The holy scriptures are spoken by God himself. But there have been many misinterpretations by bogus gurus. Hence we have a guru- disciple relation ship as I have mentioned above.
So the answer I have given before are from the words of Srila Prabhupada, who quotes the holy scriptures. What does Dr. Ambedkar have to quote?(We do not condemn him on all aspects, but what he teaches should have some basis.)

About Krishna being an incarnation of Vishnu, that is true.
This is an extract from Srila Prabhupada's purport to the verse from Srimad Bhagvatam Canto 1, Chapter 2, Verse 22.
"The speciality of devotional service unto the Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna is specifically mentioned herein.
Lord is the svyama rupa Personality of Godhead, and all other forms of Godhead, beginning from Sri Baladeva, Sankarsana, Vasudeva, Aniruddha, Pradyumna and Narayana and extending to the purusua-avatars, guna-avatars, lila-avatars, yuga-avatars and many other thousands of manifestations of the Personality of Godhead, are Lord Sri- Krishna's plenary portions and integrated parts.
The living entities are separated parts and parcels of the Personality of Godhead. Therefore Lord Sri Krishna is the original form of Godhead, and He is the last word in the Transcendence. Thus He is more attractive to the higher transcendentalists who participate in the eternal pastimes of the Lord. In forms of the Personality of Godhead other than Sri Krishna and Baladeva, there is no facility for intimate personal contact as in the transcendental pastimes of the Lord at Vrajabhumi.
The transcendental pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna are not newly accepted, as argued by some less intelligent persons; His pastimes are eternal and are manifested in due course once in a day of Brahmaji, as the sun rises on the eastern horizon at the end of every twenty-four hours."
Also mentioned else where - that Krishna who appears on earth in all the yugas, is generally the incarnation of Vishnu.
However, once in the day of Brahma he appears in his original transcendental form. Ill give the calculations for the day of brahma later in this post.
Lord Krsna appeared for two purposes - a)Two enjoy loving exchanges with his devotees- specially of vrindavan b) to annihilate the burden of Mother Earth from the demons as per her request.
Lord Buddha appeared because in the name of sacrifice, there was a lot of animal killing and unnecessary & bogus exploitation of the scriptures by the persons of the higher order, specially the Brahmanas. The Vedas were being misinterpreted and misused for personal gain. Hence the Lord appeared in the incarnation of Buddha, to diminish the influence of the sastras on people, so that the future incarnations/ devotees of the Lord can build a new platform for Vedic Understanding.
That, in biref, is the difference in the two avatars.
A Day of Brahma
A kalpa is a day of Brahma, and one day of Brahma consists of a thousand cycles of four yugas, or ages: Satya, Treta Dvapara and Kali. The cycle of Satya is characterized by virtue, wisdom and religion, there being practically no ignorance and vice, and the yuga lasts 1,728,000 years. In the Treta-yuga vice is introduced, and this yuga lasts 1,296,000 years. In the Dvapara-yuga there is an even greater decline in virtue and religion, vice increasing, and this yuga lasts 864,000 years. And finally in Kali-yuga (the yuga we have now been experiencing over the past 5,000 years) there is an abundance of strife, ignorance, irreligion and vice, true virtue being practically nonexistent, and this yuga lasts 432,000 years.
In Kali-yuga vice increases to such a point that at the termination of the yuga the Supreme Lord Himself appears as the Kalki avatära, vanquishes the demons, saves His devotees, and commences another Satya-yuga. Then the process is set rolling again. These four yugas, rotating a thousand times, comprise one day of Brahma, and the same number comprise one night.
Brahma lives one hundred of such "years" and then dies. These "hundred years" by earth calculations total to 311 trillion and 40 billion earth years. By these calculations the life of Brahma seems fantastic and interminable, but from the viewpoint of eternity it is as brief as a lightning flash. In the Causal Ocean there are innumerable Brahmas rising and disappearing like bubbles in the Atlantic. Brahma and his creation are all part of the material universe, and therefore they are in constant flux.

i have a suggestion to make. Please don't bother yourself going by the words or quotes of ANY PERSON who is in the bodily conception of life. Srila Prabhupada said that " a person may speak the best and most logical arguments and reasoning. but if he is in the bodily conception of life then he must be considered an utter fool."
What ambedkar thought about Lord Buddha was his personal opinion. What actually matters is what the truth is and the truth is mentioned loud and clear in our Vedas. Lord Buddha is an incarnation of GOD and this was predicted well before the incarnation of Lord Buddha himself.
As to why there is discrepancy between the teachings of the Bhagawad Gita and Buddhism is the same reason that we have so many demigods in our sanatana dharma. Because every person cannot be on the same platform of spiritual realization. So, people of lesser intelligence need to be tricked into serving GOD whether directly or indirectly.
Followers of Buddhism don't believe in the existence of the soul or GOD but they end up worshiping KRISHNA! This is the intelligence of GOD. :)
Even Buddhists don't believe that Lord Buddha is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. But then most Buddhist also eat meat which is inexplicable, considering, the basis of the religion is non violence.
Lord Vishnu has tricked even a billion Chinese and their communist government into thinking that they are not worshiping God when they actually are.
I heard some senior devotees in Mayapur say that Ramanuja who is incarnation of Adisheshu, out of Love for the Lord Vishnu said that He appeared as Lord Krishna Avatar which may have caused confusion in some followers to think that Krishna is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
The other way Lord Vishnu is not an Incarnation of Krishna either.
Incarnation means to appear in flesh. Lord Vishnu is an expansion of Lord Krishna.
However, Lord Rama and Lord Buddha are incarnations of Lord Vishnu/Krishna. Lord Vishnu and Krishna are really one and the same.
Krishna is the source of all incarnations/expansions/planery expantions. Lord Krishna is the original Lord Vishnu.
Buddha is also an incarnation of Lord. But such incarnations are not considered to be very advanced in Vedic knowledge(Lord does His own ways). There was a special purpose of Buddha incarnation. So called brahmanas of that time were slaughtering animals on the names of sacrifices given in the Vedas. So Lord incarnated to take away people by preaching Non-violence.
Buddha asked people to leave Vedas. Thus people became Godless. Buddhists do not believe in God. Buddhists even do not believe in Non-Violence now a days. Mostly all Buddhists eat meat including their spiritual master DALAI LAMA. Krishna conciousness is pure love, unalloyed devotion for the Supreme personality of Godhead Sri Krishna.
So the point is that Buddha incarnation was the need of that age so Lord incarnted according to His supreme will.

Let me correct you at the first place.
Lord Krsna is the supreme personality of Godhead and not an incarnation of lord VIshnu.
Following are some verses from Srimad Bhagwatam:
Canto 1 ,chapter 3,verse 23
ekonaviàçe viàçatime
våñëiñu präpya janmané
räma-kåñëäv iti bhuvo
bhagavän aharad bharam
SYNONYMS
ekonaviàçe—in the nineteenth; viàçatime—in the twentieth also; våñëiñu—in
the Våñëi dynasty; präpya—having obtained; janmané—births;
räma—Balaräma; Krsnau—SriKrsna; iti—thus; bhuvaù—of the world;
bhagavän—the Personality of Godhead; aharat—removed; bharam—burden.
TRANSLATION
In the nineteenth and twentieth incarnations, the Lord advented Himself as
Lord Balaräma and Lord Krsna in the family of Våñëi [the Yadu dynasty], and
by so doing He removed the burden of the world.
PURPORT
The specific mention of the word bhagavän in this text indicates that
Balaräma and Krsna are original forms of the Lord. This will be further
explained later. Lord Krsna is not an incarnation of the puruña, as we learned
from the beginning of this chapter. He is directly the original Personality of
Godhead, and Balaräma is the first plenary manifestation of the Lord. From
Baladeva the first phalanx of plenary expansions, Väsudeva, Saìkarñaëa,
Aniruddha and Pradyumna, expands. Lord SriKrsna is Väsudeva, and
Baladeva is Saìkarñaëa.
Canto 1 ,chapter 3,verse 28
ete cäàça-kaläù puàsaù
Krsnas tu bhagavän svayam
indräri-vyäkulaà lokaà
måòayanti yuge yuge
SYNONYMS
ete—all these; ca—and; aàça—plenary portions; kaläù—portions of the
plenary portions; puàsaù—of the Supreme; Krsnaù—Lord Krsna; tu—but;

enemies of Indra; vyäkulam—disturbed; lokam—all the planets;

All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or
portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord SriKrsna is the original
Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a
disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.
PURPORT
In this particular stanza Lord SriKrsna, the Personality of Godhead, is
distinguished from other incarnations. He is counted amongst the avatäras
because out of His causeless mercy the Lord descends from His
transcendental abode. Avatära means “one who descends.” All the
incarnations of the Lord, including the Lord Himself, descend on the different
planets of the material world as also in different species of life to fulfill
particular missions. Sometimes He comes Himself, and sometimes His different
plenary portions or parts of the plenary portions, or His differentiated portions
directly or indirectly empowered by Him, descend on this material world to
execute certain specific functions. Originally the Lord is full of all opulences,
all prowess, all fame, all beauty, all knowledge and all renunciation. When they
are partly manifested through the plenary portions or parts of the plenary
portions, it should be noted that certain manifestations of His different powers
are required for those particular functions. When in the room small electric
bulbs are displayed, it does not mean that the electric powerhouse is limited by
the small bulbs. The same powerhouse can supply power to operate large-scale
industrial dynamos with greater volts. Similarly, the incarnations of the Lord
display limited powers because so much power is needed at that particular
time.
For example, Lord Paraçuräma and Lord Nåsiàha displayed unusual
opulence by killing the disobedient kñatriyas twenty-one times and killing the
greatly powerful atheist Hiraëyakaçipu. Hiraëyakaçipu was so powerful that
even the demigods in other planets would tremble simply by the unfavorable
raising of his eyebrow. The demigods in the higher level of material existence
many, many times excel the most well-to-do human beings, in duration of life,
beauty, wealth, paraphernalia, and in all other respects. Still they were afraid
of Hiraëyakaçipu. Thus we can simply imagine how powerful Hiraëyakaçipu
was in this material world. But even Hiraëyakaçipu was cut into small pieces by
the nails of Lord Nåsiàha. This means that anyone materially powerful cannot
stand the strength of the Lord’s nails. Similarly, Jämadagnya displayed the
Lord’s power to kill all the disobedient kings powerfully situated in their
respective states. The Lord’s empowered incarnation Närada and plenary
incarnation Varäha, as well as indirectly empowered Lord Buddha, created
faith in the mass of people. The incarnations of Räma and Dhanvantari
displayed His fame, and Balaräma, Mohiné and Vämana exhibited His beauty.

Dattätreya, Matsya, Kumära and Kapila exhibited His transcendental
knowledge. Nara and Näräyaëa Åñis exhibited His renunciation. So all the
different incarnations of the Lord indirectly or directly manifested different
features, but Lord Krsna, the primeval Lord, exhibited the complete features of
Godhead, and thus it is confirmed that He is the source of all other
incarnations. And the most extraordinary feature exhibited by Lord SriKrsna
was His internal energetic manifestation of His pastimes with the cowherd
girls. His pastimes with the gopés are all displays of transcendental existence,
bliss and knowledge, although these are manifested apparently as sex love. The
specific attraction of His pastimes with the gopés should never be
misunderstood. The Bhägavatam relates these transcendental pastimes in the
Tenth Canto. And in order to reach the position to understand the
transcendental nature of Lord Krsna’s pastimes with the gopés, the Bhägavatam
promotes the student gradually in nine other cantos.
According to Çréla Jéva Gosvämé’s statement, in accordance with
authoritative sources, Lord Krsna is the source of all other incarnations. It is
not that Lord Krsna has any source of incarnation. All the symptoms of the
Supreme Truth in full are present in the person of Lord SriKrsna, and in the
Bhagavad-gétä the Lord emphatically declares that there is no truth greater
than or equal to Himself. In this stanza the word svayam is particularly
mentioned to confirm that Lord Krsna has no other source than Himself.
Although in other places the incarnations are described as bhagavän because
of their specific functions, nowhere are they declared to be the Supreme
Personality. In this stanza the word svayam signifies the supremacy as the
summum bonum.
The summum bonum Krsna is one without a second. He Himself has
expanded Himself in various parts, portions and particles as svayaà-rüpa,
svayam-prakäça, tad-ekätmä, präbhava, vaibhava, viläsa, avatära, äveça, and
jévas, all provided with innumerable energies just suitable to the respective
persons and personalities. Learned scholars in transcendental subjects have
carefully analyzed the summum bonum Krsna to have sixty-four principal
attributes. All the expansions or categories of the Lord possess only some
percentages of these attributes. But SriKrsna is the possessor of the attributes

cent percent. And His personal expansions such as svayam-prakäça, tad-ekätmä
up to the categories of the avatäras who are all viñëu-tattva, possess up to
ninety-three percent of these transcendental attributes. Lord Çiva, who is
neither avatära nor äveça nor in between them, possesses almost eighty-four
percent of the attributes. But the jévas, or the individual living beings in
different statuses of life, possess up to the limit of seventy-eight percent of the
attributes. In the conditioned state of material existence, the living being
possesses these attributes in very minute quantity, varying in terms of the
pious life of the living being. The most perfect of living beings is Brahmä, the
supreme administrator of one universe. He possesses seventy-eight percent of
the attributes in full. All other demigods have the same attributes in less
quantity, whereas human beings possess the attributes in very minute quantity.
The standard of perfection for a human being is to develop the attributes up to
seventy-eight percent in full. The living being can never possess attributes like
Çiva, Viñëu or Lord Krsna. A living being can become godly by developing the
seventy-eight-percent transcendental attributes in fullness, but he can never
become a God like Çiva, Viñëu or Krsna. He can become a Brahmä in due
course. The godly living beings who are all residents of the planets in the
spiritual sky are eternal associates of God in different spiritual planets called
Hari-dhäma and Maheça-dhäma. The abode of Lord Krsna above all spiritual
planets is called Krsnaloka or Goloka Våndävana, and the perfected living
being, by developing seventy-eight percent of the above attributes in fullness,
can enter the planet of Krsnaloka after leaving the present material body.
