How do you wear your devotion to work?  For Plain clothes devotees, the desire to dress with devotion and then go to work in the material world may have some conflict.  When I was younger and new to…Continue

Hare Krsna John,

I really liked your idea. Actually that's the reason I signed up for the desire tree yesterday and it's the first group page I looked at. Haribol!

Hare Krishna, Glenda!

I started this group several months back as just a idea, really. To create a space, a place, a forum for people that are Krishna conscious, but who may not really see themselves as initiated Vaishnava's and fully engaged ISKCON members (at least of the external outward temple). I was intending and hoping for a cyberspace environment where people could get to know each other and share their understandings as they see them, free of extreme orthodoxy. Well, as it turns out, there aren't too many people that have a whole lot to say here. So I occasionally (about once a week) send various Krishna conscious materials to the group. Even that has slowed down due to the total lack of participation from any of the members. ISKCON Desire Tree is a place that you really have to navigate the whole thing for and by yourself, really. There are some friendly devotees that make an effort to communicate. But at least as far as I am concerned, there are few and far in between. If of course you would like to change that dynamic with some conversation and or questions about your devotional service or mine, and such, then please feel free to start a dialogue.

Thank you for joining my group and HariBol!

Hare Krishna Dear devotees, I'm very new to this group and a bit unsure what exactly this group is all about? Please can someone enlighten me? Thank you so much. Yhs, Glenda.
