No this is the place where Ravana had his capital and where Srimati Sita was held captive. Indeed Srila Prabhupada mentions in Bhagavatam that Brazil was the kingdom of Ravana's brother and from there Ravana obtained gold to build his Svarnalanka. His kingdom extended till Brazil. He had subways built till Ceylon.
