How to increase faith in Krishna ???

As it is said that faith is the mother of devotional service. So is it possible to progress in devotional life without faith in krishna. It happens only because of the teachings of modern science and lack of spiritital knowledge. My question is that how can a person really progress only by chanting when he has no faith in lord? How by only chanting the faith can be generated? When it is said that faith is important for good chanting?

hare krishna PAMHO. it came as a huge shock to me that there are some contradictions in between SMB and mahabharat as in both these scriptures Character of Parikshit maharaj is portrayed in completely opposite directions. As all know that Maharaj Parikshit is a very pious and religious king as per SMB but mahabharat tells a complete opposite story and portrays king parikshit as an arrogant person. i heard many lectures of some brahamcharis in iskcon. in one such lecture i heard that by criticizing mayawadis or non devotees like (KARAN AND KAURAVS) we can advance in devotional life..
