When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I came into contact with a devotee through my job almost 5 years ago, but was not in a proper place in my life to accept the wonderful words I was given. Fast forward to this past Summer where I was visiting family in Los Angeles, CA. and I came across the New Dwarka Temple. Each morning I was on my way to the Starbucks in their neighborhood and each morning I would stop in front of the Temple and listen to whatever kirtan was playing outside or watch an outdoor lecture from the sidewalk. The music and energy of the place hit me so hard that as soon as I returned home I contacted my devotee friend who had just returned from India and I asked him to tell me more about Krishna Consciousness. Although I am very new to everything, I know I want to reconnect with Krishna and I get such a wonderful feeling when chanting in the company of devotees and reading the words of Srila Prabhupada! I only want to advance in my studies and love for Krishna! Haribol!

I have only become Krishna Conscious within the last year, so I am very new! I am reading through the Bhagavad-Gita for the first time, but have ready several of Srila Prabhhpada's books and know many bhajans. I have only been able to attend a Temple about 6 times due to the distance, but I feel the energy and long to go more often! I realize that the lack of having fellow devotees around greatly affects my focus, but I do my best to chant and read everyday. I am merely a lost soul finding it's way back to Godhead!
What are your expectations from this community?
I am searching for fellow devotees to help inform me, discuss Krishna and Prabhupada and answer questions I have about the texts, practices and anything else. I do not have easy access to a temple, so it is difficult to stay on track without the company of devotees!
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
I am filmmaker, graphic designer and photographer- so I am full of creativity and would love to help any devotees in need of such services. I can offer my love of Krishna through these mediums!
