Hare Krishna prabhuji,
It's because of merciful devotees like you that I, a miserable and unfortunate soul is getting to know about Shri Krishna.

Yes prabhuji, received it. I really value your feedback and am going to work on them. I was busy with janmashtami services. We had organised a stall for Save Yamuna campaign for signatures and we got 10 000 signatures. so it was ecstatic. now i am fine and would like to work on the stories soon.

This Mind (Poem)

Why, must I, possess this mind,It adheres to anything, of any kind.No prudence it exhibits, no strength of will,It fails to remain, unattached and still. From my duties, it makes me shy,From works auspicious it diverts my eye.My ally or enemy; its true nature’s unknownFor fickle it was, and even more, it's grown. Not all is bad, and sometimes, I admit,Virtuousness, even steadfastness, arise in it,But a mere second later, its focus starts to sway,A single temptation and it is led…See More

Profile Information

Initiated / Legal name
Perhaps Eternal Muser would be the most apt name for me
Initiating Guru's Name / Aspiring Guru's Name
I do not have the courage to take initiation. I am not not confident of honoring my committment to my Guru to adhere to the path of Krishna Consciousness.
When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
1991. By the Grace of Lord Krishna, I happened to walk into the Radhagopinath Temple, Chowpatty. There onwards, my life changed forever...
Name the nearest and most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know
Radhagopinath Temple, Chowpatty, Mumbai
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you
I am that Eternal Muser, that unfortunate Jiva,
Who suffers in that unenviable position, perceiving his deplorable position as a conditioned soul;
Who has been shown by those Exalted Devotees, the Path to be free of shackles but,
Who lacks the courage and integrity to walk that Path;
Who has eaten of that holy Prasadam, but failed to imbibe its Goodness;
Who has partaken of that Bliss of Sankirtan, but has failed to assimilate its Glory;
Who has heard of that Dark Complexioned One, and is called by Him time and again, only to ignore His call;
Who intoxicated and bound by the charms of that Queen of Illusion, is condemned by the very hypocrisy on which he thrives, to eternal damnation and suffering;
Who watches, an impotent bystander, as that golden sand of Bhakti, slips between his weak, irresolute fist, to be lost forever more.
And thus, I muse, my exalted Friends, and will continue to muse, eternally so……
What are your expectations from this community?
I just wish to get online Association of Vaishnavas, for the sinner that I am, this is the only way I can attract the attention of that lotus-eyed, dusky complexioned, most attractive Lord Krishna.
And save myself from the clutches of Maya Devi in whose charms I'm deeply entangled.
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
I am in an unfortunate condition wherein I am unable to contribute anything of value to Vaishnavas and Lord Krishna, except for a few blogs which may serve to remind one of Lord Krishna.

I don't know if this is useful, but right now, I'm working on making copies of Srila Prabhupada's books that can be read on lower end mobile phones (non-smart but java enabled); that can be taken along anywhere and relished by Devotees anywhere

It’s not Fair? Then become so! (humor, realization, current events)

Posted on February 9, 2012 at 6:30am 0 Comments

I watched as the father broke the news to his daughter. The alliance for her marriage had been rejected yet again. I observed dispassionately as she ran into her room and flung herself on the bed, sobbing bitterly. She was doomed to suffer that way. After all, she had committed one of the most abominable sins for a young girl.

She had been born with a dark complexion.

Enter Fairy Godmother. She compassionately assured the girl that all was not yet lost. She bestowed upon her,…

This Mind

Why, must I, possess this mind,

It adheres to anything, of any kind.

No prudence it exhibits, no strength of will,

It fails to remain, unattached and still.

From my duties, it makes me shy,

From works auspicious it diverts my eye.

My ally or enemy; its true nature’s unknown

For fickle it was, and even more, it's grown.

Not all is bad, and sometimes, I…

My House (Story, realization, poem)

Posted on January 19, 2012 at 12:30am 2 Comments

Aimless, nonsensical, and even cryptic as the initial lines of my story/ realization may appear, I beg the reader to patiently continue reading till the end. I promise that after the first half, things will begin to get clearer, and all the preceeding paragraphs will begin to make sense. Comments and criticism welcome...

Let me tell you a bit about my house.

No, that would be an inaccurate statement. Actually years ago, I had wanted to leave…

Beware the Firecracker Rakshasa!

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 10:34am 0 Comments

Meena’s tearful parents and I watched helplessly through the glass pane separating us from the room where the doctors were desperately fighting to save little Meena’s life. It was an accident…it is always an accident…My neighbours’ child Meena was trying to light a ‘fountain’ firecracker and in the dark, she had not noticed the string of live ‘atom-bomb’ firecrackers that someone else had lit nearby. The little girl had been caught in…
