My wife was, and still is, paying way too much attention to another man. This has been creating tremendous pain for me over the last 6 months. She seems oblivious to my pain and so does he. But now I can clearly see that it's all Krishna's mercy. I have become much closer to Krishna in the last 6 months than ever before.
Pain is Krishna's mercy. It's his way of helping us remember him and get closer to him.

- Yes, the cow slaughter is terrible.... but it isn't just that. The institution of marriage is failing, morals are getting worse every day, personal and corporate greed keeps getting worse, there are shows on tv now that are so degraded that only 50 years ago no one would ever have imagined would be mainstream, the share markets are more volatile than ever, the average person has lost almost all connection with the land and simple living, etc, etc, etc. I have a wife who, when I say these types of things to her thinks I'm crazy and asks me "which century I'm from". I can hardly even speak to her any more because she has progressively become more and more enamored with the ways of kali yuga whilst I've been going the other way and have been getting more and more into the vedas.
I would love to read the predictions that you have from the rishis.

- It's more than encouragement... I was really agreeing with what you were saying at the time. I remember you were talking about western society and how it will fail. You were (if memory serves me correctly) suggesting there would be some sort of sharp crash of western society, followed by a spiritual awakening. Then, someone in the audience said that they believed it would be more a gradual failing of the current western system that would allow a gradual awakening to replace it. I'm not sure which way it will happen, but I think one way or the other it will happen.
