When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

High school friend, Prabupada devotee introduced me to ISKCON. We even hitchhiked from Atlanta to New Orleans just for Ratha Yatra. Lived in Atlanta temple as brahmacari Sep-Dec 1977. Had association with Svarupa Damodara and Sadaputa dasa around that time. Also had association with Balavanta working to defend naturopathic doctor from prosecution. Have been travelling a lot with my work since.

Name the nearest and most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

Washington DC (Braja Bihari, Anuttama, Devaprasta, Caitanya Nitai, GovindMadhav), Have been to many temples, including Houston, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Dallas (Mathurnath), Detroit, Phoenix, Atlanta (Balabhadra, Ratigovinda), New Talavan (Yogendra), Chicago, New Goloka (Durham) (Gopi).

Located in Washington DC area looking for association with devotees. Currently, financially unable to travel. I have extensive computer/IT experience. Wife, Katherine, loves to make garlands. Son, Mike, attended TKG Academy (Dallas gurukula) briefly. He likes computer audiovisual arts, playing guitar. We all like the performing arts, dance. Katherine has asked that I seek second intitiation if serious. Working on preparing for first intiation. Currently self-studying for bhakti sastri exam with Katherine. VIHE mp3's ki jai!

What are your expectations from this community?

Increase association with devotees. Make connections for full time or part time service.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

Interests include: using my computer, technical and management talents in Krishna's service in the areas of Youth Ministry, Bhaktivedanta Institute, bhakti sastri, Festival of India, Food for Life, temple/community administration, and education.

Family is ready and accustomed to travel (not independently wealthy). Always interested in opportunities to serve part-time and possibly full-time, depending on the timing and the opportunity.

We are living in the Washington DC area. We also own a house in the Corpus Christi/Kingsville TX area. We are establishing it as an alternative energy demonstration project with solar and wind power. Devotees that have an interest in becoming investor/partners are invited to inquire. Not really a fix-and-flip. Safe area and less than an hour drive to beach.

Opportunities part-time telecommuting ($ would be nice) or in-person full-time. Any service that increases association with devotees. Preference is full-time living/working environment that is Krishna conscious (community) and can utilize the entire family (Katherine can help with typical mataji tasks, Mike can fix computers/program/websites and do audiovisual projects). Not interested in "business opportunities".

I am capable of most any task. Currently, my professional focus is on international standards & protocols, teaching, and information security.
