Initiated / Legal name: Not initiated but aspiring for His Holiness Radhanath Swami

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?: Got introduced late back in 1998 by my uncle and cousin brothers. Started chanting in 2000 but got serious only in 2003 when I started visiting Chowpatty temple.

Name the nearest and most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know: Manchester temple and Shri Shri Radha Gopinath, Chowpatty temple, Mumbai.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you: I am a simple girl, wanting to get purified to be able to love Lord. Trying hard to learn to tolerate, be selfless and serve everyone. I want to learn to see all the living entities on a spiritual platform so that I always remain humble in my dealings with everyone. I chant 18 rounds daily so that I can strengthen my faith in Him irrespective of my material condition.

I always pray to Lord to bless me with good devotee associaion and oppurtunity to serve Him and His devotees selflessly. That is the only goal of my life.

As for material qulifications, I have completed Bachlors in Physiotherapy and very soon be finishing with Masters in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation from a university in UK.

What are your expectations from this community?: I belive that Krishna has given me this oppurtunity to be part of ISKCON REFREASH because He has His own plans for me. May be wants me to serve and help other devotees here or may be He wants me to learn something from other wonderful devotees here. I really dont know what is His plans. And so have no expectations but would be happy to accept whateve Krishna desires to give me by making me part of this site.

If you ever get the opportunity to visit New Vrndavana in west Virginia. That may be a good opportunity to meet HH Radhanatha Swami, he usually goes to the festival of inspiration. I am also hoping i can one day go. I keep praying to Krishna to intervene and give me some good direction, so I can do some service of kirtan and prasadam distribution. The devotees in Kuala Lumpor are doing a nice program of taking Lord Damodar to people's homes for the month of kartik so they can offer ghee lamps, this is a wonderful idea, and it is having great success.
