When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I can't ever remember a time when I was not looking for God and the "Higher Taste" inwhich He bestoes.
My Dad had originally introduced me to Krishna when I was 16 and asking existential questions about reality and the self.
I've always been spiritually inclined.
I remember when I was 2 and enjoy the singing at church or when I was 5 talking with God as He manefested His voice to me through the sun.

I found out about the Hare Krishna's by chasing down devotees on the street.
It has always been my desire to have the dear association of those that knew God because I had always known that they know the real truth.
I would regularly explore other religions and philosophies in search of the ultimate goal of human life and the many questions I had about spirit and matter.

I am eternally greatful to Srila Prabhupada.

Name the nearest and most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know

New Gokula Dham, Vancouver, Canada.

As far as devotees, I know so many but I'd feel kind weird writing their names all out like this and not have the spelling correct or leave any of their names out.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you

A rambuncious dude that is either all serious or all fun.
A real nerd in regard to esoteric legal and financial terminology.
An over all athelete yet likes best individual sports like skateboarding.
Loves Krishna so much and yet is so perplexed by maya that he is often crying.
Only wants the best for everyone and can be a great diplomat.
Loves to dance up a storm for the pleasure of Krishna Caitanya and the devotees.

Wants to become more humble then a piece of straw in the street and more tolerant than a tree in the harsh cold of Canadian Winter, devoid of any sense of false prestige and always ready to offer deep respect and glorification to others while not expecting anything in return. In only this state of mind he crys in hope that some day the Supreme Lord will be present before Him so that they may embrace.

What are your expectations from this community?

I try not to have any expectations, for I may get let down. All I want is to develop more love for Krishna and His devotees by honoring them and consistently adhering to their instructions.
