Confusion : When to observe Ekadashi if we are changing the time zone on Ekadshi day?
Hare Krishna dear Devotees!Please accept my Dandvat Pranam. I need help to sort out confusion regarding date of Ekadashi in Feb. I stay in Kuala Lumpur, and I am going to Kolkatta on 4th Feb. According to Vaishnav Reminder, we have to fast on 4th Feb for Ekadashi in Kuala lumpur. Thanks for the friend add. Sorry for the late reply. Its so wonderful that u want to offer 56 bhoga to Thakurji. Gopalji must already be pleased by ur desire to serve Him :)
Personally I have never made 56 bhoga myself.I have always done it along with other devotees for festivals like Gaur Poornima, Janmashtami, Jagannath festival. i.e everyone gets some bhoga item for offering. you can thnk abt this approach- ask ur friends if they can help you.if u r going to make the bhoga urself choose the items such that are easy to make and also which can be consumed or stored for later consumption.since u say ur new to cooking i wld recommend a few items which are easy to make- ten types of fried Bhajji ( u can make a single batter and make diff bhjji's like cabbage, spinach,cauliflower,mirchi,paneer,potato,brinjal etc.), ten types of rice -u can make white rice and season it in diffent manner to make lemon rice, tamarind rice,coconut rice, sweet rice, curd rice, masala bhat etc., 10 types of drinks like fruit juices, buttermilk, milkshakes,lassi etc, raitas ( cucumber, mixed veg, potato, boondi,pineapple), dryfruits ( almonds, walnuts, cashews, pista,raisins etc.) various fruits ( u can easily get 5-10 varieties).remaining items will be chappatis, puris, sabzi's ,dal and sweets.
u can make a bowl of each preprn. add a tulsi leaf to each bhoga and offer it as usual to Gopalji.
